Just recently I transferred one of my domains from GoDaddy
to one of WinHost's Windows 2012 servers with IIS8.

Developed using WebMatrix from Microsoft it utilizes the
Razor syntax, MSSQL Server, Silverlight, and ASP.NET Web
Pages v2.

The site loads faster, runs smoother on the WinHost server,
plus it's much easier to manage because WinHost allows me
use IIS Remote Manager unlike GoDaddy. Since WinHost focuses
only on Windows server technology, The Web-Based Helpdesk
spits out the information you are looking for because it is
not muddled with every other technology known to man.

for the following reasons:
* Responded quickly to any of our support tickets.
* We experienced absolute zero downtime during our 15
months.
* Knowledgeable support staff.
* Breadth of features (used SQL Server and latest .NET
framework)
* Performance was above average
* Ability to use native admin tools for SQL Server.
* Latest versions of SmarterMail; e-mail stability.
I really have nothing bad to say about WinHost and would
highly recommend their services. 

After an extremely positive experience with Winhost I am glad to write this review for them!! They gave me great service that not many companies are prepared to give now days and not once did I have a problem with the up time. They are really good and well priced!! Keep up the great work!! 

As a Director of IT & Development at my day job and a freelancer at night - I have come across many web hosting sites and really have enjoyed utilizing WinHost as my provider.

My initial project that made me come across WinHost was necessity for a provider that specifically provided functionality for ASP.NET and SQL. After logging in to my account - I was given a very intuitive and graphically accommodating UI with the ease to setup everything that I needed AND FAST!

Winhost is highly recommended for your web hosting service! I had to do a school project which needed an ASP.NET site and my friend immediately recommend me to winhost after i had a bad experience with another web hosting company. I didn't hold any high hopes when i first come to Winhost as it was really a bad experience with the previous web hosting company. Nice windows hosting, personalized control panel but it works ok. It is possible to choose a plan with higher dedicated pool memory. the default is 100mb not bad. 

I've been using Winhost since July 2011.

Pros:

+ Reasonable prices
+ Good support
+ Decent up-time
+ Comprehensive control panel app
+ Full trust

Cons:

+ There's currently no way to backup your database
automatically (search their form for the subject database
backups). They backup your database every day but they only
keep a few days of backups available so if you don't
discover corruption or problems within that _very_ narrow
window then your data is gone for good. 

I can't recommend them enough. These guys are very good. They offer a great product at a great price. I switched my 2 personal websites to WinHost from that other major hosting/domain company some time ago. I've not been happier.
