Steadfast Networks is a Chicago based division of NoZone, Inc, which has been providing web hosting services since 1998, and focuses on providing semi-managed and fully managed dedicated server and colocation solutions.

The goal of Steadfast Networks is to provide the best service possible at an affordable price. Competitive pricing is provided even though no corners are cut:
- All support is done in-house and on-site by experienced and professional full-time support staff.
- You can reach an experienced technician 24/7 via toll free phone, email, or our ticket system.
- The network is setup in a fully redundant configuration, using Juniper and Cisco hardware, and uses high-end carriers such as Level(3), AT&T, MCI/Verizon Business, Savvis, and XO Communications.
- All hardware is top quality rackmount Supermicro hardware with hot swap drive bays. No mid-towers!
- All systems include a gigabit internal network port for access to their other systems and to our included backup space.
- Operate own 10,000 sq. ft. data center, not a reseller.

Value for Money

Although slightly higher prices at a glance, you get what you pay for with Steadfast. They can help you set up and manage dedicated servers, private or public cloud hosting and Chicago colocation servers and usually do so quickly and without any hassle to get you started building your web application.

Performance & Reliability

Looking at hardware and network uptime and capacity, they have disaster recovery and fully redundant data centers. Steadfast take pride in their stability, and proves it by being one of the fastest growing companies in the US. They always keep scalability, redundancy in every layer, updates and expansion in mind, and their excellent uptime records proves their reliability, as can be seen in reviews and statistics across the web.


Support

24/7/365 customer service and IT Support on all managed plans, with experienced staff in any web related field gives you both fast and reliable support. The only issues we ever heard about with Steadfast support is that they in some cases were slow in helping with issues that weren’t specified – although just like with any other provider there are no mind readers, meaning that even on fully managed plans you need to specify the issues. When we tested their knowledge and experience, we had a helpful response within 15 minutes on every way of contact we could find, including phone, ticket system, email, Twitter and Facebook.


Ease of use

Compared to other hosting providers, we found it more difficult to discover plan specifications and features without contacting their support. Once discovered (go to the plan type you want, scroll down and click on the dark green buttons) you’ll notice they have a great selection of software, meaning once your server is set up you can have whatever OS, control panel and other software your team has experience of. Advanced hosting plans such as VPS and Cloud always takes some experience, but with that said Steadfast certainly does all in their power to make life easier for you.

We couldn't be happier with our managed server hosting at
Steadfast. They answer tickets quicker than anyone I've seen
and have consistently gone above and beyond. We're able to
just worry about what we host, they take care of everything
else.

Essentially, we picked Steadfast because they were in
Chicago, had fantastic uptime and connectivity, were fair to
us on pricing, and would do things like migrate our site and
other "managed" functions. Add to that the
options/flexibility, InterWorx, etc. and their offering is
even better. Plus… they don't nickel and dime the way
others might.

Mike Cason does not recommend Steadfast

When the system I was renting experienced a drive failure, it took more than a week to convince them of what was obviously (and, ultimatly, proven to be) a hardware failure. The downtime cost me a great deal of time and money, but they acted like it was my fault. Then, two months after cancelling my service, they ran a fraudulent charge through on my credit card, saying that I had authorized them to do so, and refused to reverse it.
