I also switched to them because they were cheaper than my last host. I have a reseller account with them and am switching after 3 months. They oversell their severs and their support is abrasive/irresponsible. I design sites for a ling and have dealt with most companies. THEY ARE THE WORST HOSTING COMPANY EVER.

Hosting is spotty. Three weeks ago, my hosted server went down for the entire morning. No reason was given, but I figure it was equipment problem. This morning I found the account syspended. Strange, because last week I received confirmation that invoice for next 6 months is paid. Try to get support: the online chat support can tell you nothing you must send email to tech support team. Even though the server is COMPLETELY down and unavailable, probably the most critical situation imaginable, they can not help, you have to email someone. If you call the support line, they only have an answering machine on all option, even sales. On the phone line, they say to use their "award winning 7x24 chat support". I email the tech support, and they tell me I am using the wrong email return address, and they can't help me, and give me another email address to change my email address. Remember .... my server has been down for about 2 hours now, and they are worried about the email address on the account, and whether that is correct. Meanwhile, everyone visiting my site is seeing a big yellow message saying "Account suspended". After five hours, nobody can even tell me why the account is suspended. No email messages were sent. No explanation for the suspended account. It was just cut off without warning, and requiring 5 hours with support to try to find out why. The one thing you care about in a hosting service is up-time, and responsiveness to critical problems. I think the C- minus rating that BBB gives them is FAR too generous. UPDATE: after many hours, I am told that they disabled the account because they think there is a problem with TomCat application. Strange, this same application has been running for almost two years, and it runs on many other servers. But they say that starting the server causes of hundreds of page fetch requests disrupting the server for everyone. Here is the strange thing: they think there is a problem with a TomCan application, so they completely disable the entire account, preventing any access to the application or to any data files that might be causing the problem. FTP access is cut off. The static site pages are cut off. There is no access to log files. The entire account is disabled for five hours now, jsut because they suspect a JSP problem. That is just too over-top rediculous for words.

They are giving a cpanel for you with unlimited feautures but there is too many hidden limited feauture. I was have a game site on mocha host there was 3000 games but ftp didnt show all of them and i have asked this problem to support and they said me: "this is a shared hosting we added added ftp list limit to all accounts we wont allow to you list all of your files." this is only a sample but they are only love to host very small sites without visitors

I switched from LunarPages to MocahHost because they offer a much cheaper plan. It was ok at the beginning. Took a while to get my new site up and running, but support was helpful during the transfer period. However, my site was unstable the first year, every now and then the site is down. Then I registered a second domain which was suppose to be free. Support/Billing sent me a coupon code to use to register the new domain for free. Then a year past and they're asking me to pay for the domain. They brought out the terms and conditions and pointed out my 2nd domain was not registered in time for the free promotion. I tried to argue with them (politely), but they're getting ruder and ruder in each email. It seems like they're nice at the beginning, but once they get you in, they don't really care about you anymore.

I've been with MochaHost for over two years and have been generally pretty happy with it. Until recently, that is, until some of my projects started going live and I started running into technical issues. The issues themselves are pretty run-of-the-mill, I've seen the same thing with other hosts I've used, It's the customer service that is unbelievable. UNBELIEVABLY BAD. Seriously, I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't experienced it, several times. I've kept copies of my correspondence with them hoping it will provide some comic relief some day. Maybe I'll start a blog, or better yet a comic strip based on my support tickets. Anyone considering MochaHost needs to be aware of this large drawback.

My email server has been down for these two domains for 3 days now. I have created several "Critical" tickets. One was "escalated" from on their chat line - which is no longer working. I have called - no response. I am wondering if this business is still viable

I’ve been hosting my website with Mochahost for a couple months now and it’s been great. I’m what you can call a rookie so I had a lot of questions in the beginning and their support has been very helping (and I didn’t have to wait long for their responses). Since I joined Mochahost I haven’t experienced any downtime at all. I also gotta mention the price. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a web host with such a low price-tag. I think that many of you would be pleased if deciding to choose Mochahost as your web host.
