How to Create a MySQL Database in Plesk
Running a website often entails that you keep track of important files by using a MySQL database system. Plesk actually allows website managers to quickly access their web files and to create and alter MySQl database. Not all web-hosting packages include MySQL database capabilities. But if it does, Plesk makes it easy. With a few simple clicks, you can use Plesk to Add MySQl users, delete them and change their passwords. Here are step-by-step instructions.
Steps to Create MySQL Database
- Make sure you are logged in to your Plesk account
- To create a MySQL database, click on the database icon
- Clik "Add New Database"
- Enter a name for the new database
- Leave the data typeset as MySQL typeset
- Click"OK"
- The new database customer is created
- To enter a new user, click on "Add New Database User"
- Enter user name in the box
- Enter Password you want in the box
- Reenter the password
- Click on "OK"
- The user has now been created
- To edit users' passwords, click on the user name
- To delete a user, click the check box next to the user
- Then click on "Remove Selected" icon
- To create additional users, click on the "Add User" icon
- Return to the home page and you're done.
