WIN a $500 Amazon gift card and a year of free Website Hosting (worth over $1400!) with our Website Concept Competition!
Do you have a brilliant idea for a website? Ever thought about putting your ideas online but lacked the money or motivation? If so, Web Hosting Search is offering you a unique opportunity to get your website idea up and running - with no start-up cost!
This FREE competition is open to adults (18+) who are students or graduates of any US-based college or university course.
All we need you to do is make a video up to two minutes long, describing your concept and explaining why you think it is a good idea for a website. Simple!
The content of the video is completely up to you. For example you could use infographics to convey your idea, give a live demonstration on a mocked-up version of your site, or even simply record yourself speaking about it. Be as creative as you can!
When you are happy with your video, upload it to an online destination of your choice (such as Google Drive, YouTube or Dropbox) and submit your entry.
Entries will be accepted until midnight on Monday 31st October 2016. We will then decide upon a shortlist of the five best entries, based on the uniqueness of the idea, the website's potential and the quality of your video. Even if you don't win, you will receive a special discount website hosting offer provided by our competition sponsor, HostGator - so it's definitely worth entering!
The shortlisted videos will be uploaded to this page on Wednesday 2nd November 2016. Page viewers will be prompted to vote on which concept video is the best, and we will combine this feedback with our own to decide upon a winner.
You will be provided with a link to this page to check if you have been shortlisted, and to share with friends, family and colleagues in order to garner votes.
The winner will be announced on the morning of Wednesday 16th November 2016, on this page. We will email you to remind you on the day - and if you are the winner, you can expect to receive your prize very shortly after!
If you are looking for a starting point, we suggest you address some of the following questions in your video description:
What makes your website idea unique, or better than the existing competition?
Who are your target audience? How will you ensure your website gets seen?
Could it be monetized, and if so, how? What is your marketing strategy?
At Web Hosting Search, we know that many people have had at least one great idea for a website at some time or another. But unfortunately for most, starting one is unrealistic due to time and financial constraints.
That is why we are aiming to help you get your idea out into the world where it can fulfill its potential - by providing you with the tools to get your site online without worrying about the financial aspect.
Of course, it takes work to create a website, but we hope to provide an incentive which may well spark the creation of the next big thing in the Internet. It all starts with your idea!
If you have any queries or want to know more, get in touch with us on editor@webhostingsearch.com, or via our Facebook page. We look forward to receiving your entries - good luck!
