I have been thinking of writing a similar post. Here is my take on it - If the reseller is serious about the business, then he/she will probably be successful. Obviously the person will eventually have to move off the reseller plan to either a vps or dedicated server, but the reseller plan is a great starting point in my opinion. I have a friend who received a reseller plan of 50GB space and 500GB bandwidth and he managed to get people hosting with him. Cool rite? I also think that the hosting companies own brands could get hurt if they continue this way. However, I think that reseller web hosting is good for web designers and Internet consultants.
