The network service providers had to rely on word of mouth earlier for promoting their uptimes while extending no way to users to verify these claims. This allows even those offering poor quality hosting or SaaS services to boast higher standards. However with UpTimeSafe, service providers can test and display their certification levels from a reliable source that would help hosting providers and users in providing and selecting the best services respectively.

Currently the tool provides four badges; APS 300 for 99.9% uptime, APS 350 for 99.95%, APS 400 for 99.99% and APS 500 for a whopping 99.999% uptime. The tool measures the performance of the participating services for three months before assigning a badge while keeping track of the service for a constant validation. According to Pedro Pequono, President InfoGenius Inc, "UptimeSafe allows quality service providers to effectively differentiate themselves as reliability leaders. On the same token, buyers seeking a reliable provider can now easily identify them through the UptimeSafe Seal on a provider’s website. It’s a win-win solution for both."
