Why We Do What We Do

What companies provide the best web hosting experience? How can you distinguish between what seems like a great offer and a cleverly worded sales pitch? Is there such a thing as an unbiased guide that accurately measures each of the components of the web hosting packages?

Editors WHS

WebHostingSearch.com was put together as a way to accurately measure and test web hosting providers to find out who offers the best service depending on a variety of different criteria. We experience each hosting package just as a customer would. Things that we note include:

  • The price
  • Customer support options
  • Included programming or scripting languages
  • Database access and integration
  • Email set-up
  • Any other extras or benefits that the hosting service offers

We test each aspect of the package to make sure that what is being described is, in fact, what is available for use. We feel that by acting as a customer, we are able to present the most accurate notion of what using the service entails.

As a result, each of our recommended providers has been thoroughly vetted before we list them on our website. We don’t entertain any fly by night operations. We value serious, dedicated and responsible professional service. Our theory is relatively simple: we wouldn’t want someone to tell us to use a service that they personally wouldn’t use or recommend. We believe in maintaining a certain standard of transparency and evaluation, which is why our particular service has become so popular with users on the internet. Visitors to our site know they can trust our evaluations because they are based on actual experience, not second hand information.

Objective first-hand reviews

Correspondingly, we are not swayed by hype. Because we take the time to explore each hosting provider in detail, we don’t simply repeat what we’ve been told. We form our own conclusions about a particular service, even if that service has received exceptional reviews elsewhere. Occasionally, a new hosting provider will appear and receive positive reviews from little known outlets, or even from well-known outlets. We offer our visitors a consistent standard that is not swayed by outside opinion or pressure. No one should trust everything they read on the internet: it’s best to rely on a few key sources that time and again have proven their reliability and veracity. Our site is a compendium of carefully researched fact that is based on one guiding standard of excellence. We’re here to provide the truth, not a sales pitch.

More importantly, however, we appreciate that no two websites are the same. To help you figure out what service is best for you, we break all of the hosting providers down into different categories, from green hosting to Wordpress hosting to e-commerce hosting. Each service will differ depending on what you are specifically using it for, and we test each service with that in mind. We also have categories depending on pricing. How much per month do you want to spend on hosting your website? Do you envision a great deal of growth? Do you want to primarily put up a site that helps you sell a particular product or service, or are you looking to create a site that can fluidly handle heavy amounts of visitor interactivity without costing you a fortune? We’ve tried to think of everything.

We like feedback

However, we are also open to feedback and your concerns or comments. As a part of our service, we communicate with each hosting provider on a regular basis to let them know what our customers are telling us. If a particular feature isn’t working, or another aspect of a provider’s customer service could be improved, we’re happy to relay any comments we receive directly to that provider. The providers that we list are very receptive to feedback, and they endeavor to provide the highest level of customer service and technical acumen possible. That’s part of why they’ve made the list; they value each client as highly as we do.

The desire to constantly improve applies to our site, too. We’re built our reputation on sterling service, exacting standards, and the knowledge that there is no ceiling for excellence. If you have any ideas as to how we could improve our service, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
