More than 100,000 businesses trust their websites with hosting from Rackspace. It probably goes without saying but this wouldn’t be so if it wasn’t for them being “good guys”. People working for Rackspace have a true passion for delivering quality services (unlike some other providers that just want to make a quick buck or two). Support is friendly and we are sure that you’ll be pleased if partnering up with them. Keep up the good work Rackspace!

- What sets your company apart from other providers?
Two words…. Fanatical Support®. All Rackspace employees (a.k.a. “Rackers”) eat, breathe, and live by delivering exceptional service to our customers and to one another. We are constantly striving to improve our customer interactions as part of our desire to become recognized globally as a premier service brand.
- Who is your typical customer?
Our customers are companies that value customer service. Enterprise companies know that delivering IT services and applications to the users within their company or their customers is no easy task. There are countless colocation, hosting providers, and cloud companies that a potential customer has to choose from. Rackspace’s customers choose and stay with us because they often rely on Rackspace to assist them with their IT needs and in many ways we have become an extension of their IT department.
- What do you think about the future of web hosting/trends in web hosting?
We are at an exciting inflection point in the evolution of web hosting. IT has achieved the point where utility-based delivery models can be utilized to deliver a multitude of services. While we are not quite at the point where all data and every application can be placed in the cloud, barriers are being knocked down rapidly.
For example, OpenStack, an open source cloud computing platform that Rackspace is a founding member of and which is being developed by more than 60 organizations, is designed to enable cloud computing initiatives to deliver economies of scale savings for companies.
- Finally, if you had to pick one song to represent your company – what song would that be?
