We get a lot of questions here at WebHostingSearch - these are some of the most common. Please don't hesitate to send us a question at: editor(a)webhostingsearch.com

What can I expect from a cheap hosting plan?

You can, and should, expect a lot from your hosting plan, regardless if it's pricey or not. Cheap web hosting plans should have a 99.9% uptime guarantee, include all the features you need to set up and manage your website, contain a quality control panel, a free domain and the provider should of course provide you with all the support you need. My tip is testing the support beforehand. Send them a couple questions and if they can't, or are not willing, to help you out it pretty much sets the tone of the providers' ambition.

Can I expect a money back guarantee?

Many providers do offer their customers a money back guarantee. Most common is a 30-day money back guarantee but some even extend that guarantee to last forever. If you're not sure whether a provider has this guarantee or not I'd recommend you contacting the provider. One host I can recommend you checking out is JustHost - they offer an outstanding Anytime Money-Back Guarantee. It doesn't get any better than this.

How do I publish my website?

A very common question. Let's break it down into three steps. First of all you need to create the website itself. Decide whether you wanna use editor programs such as DreamWeaver or if you want to use a CMS like WordPress or Joomla. Secondly, get a hosting plan matching the needs of your site. The last step is to upload all your files, via for example an FTP client. That's it! Your site is now ready for publication. For a more detailed explantion on how to publish a website I'd recommend you reading this article.
